You
can help Keep The Wheel of Life turning
by providing fresh water,
feeding the hungry,
building
an orphanage and eldercare facilities
and the funding of primary schools.
To all who have or may support Reiser Relief,
Incorporated,
I extend my most sincere gratitude to you for
helping God’s neediest people. We are fulfilling one of our Lord’s
greatest admonitions to us because every human person is created in the
image and likeness of God. It is an awesome privilege for us to
extend a helping hand to people in need.
In my many travels over the years, the poor of
Haiti have touched me most intimately, and thus I have extended most of
my resources there.
Our relief organization can only make
a difference with your help and willingness to share some of your
treasures with the less fortunate. Since
the January earthquake of this year, our relief efforts of food and
water have increased most significantly.
On Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the
Courtyards
of Andover, we are having a Haiti Relief Event to bring a greater
awareness to
our relief efforts and to highlight the devastation and extreme needs
of the Haitian people since January 12, 2010 tumultuous earthquake. It
will provide greater opportunities to assist them in our gifts of
water, food and education. Please invite your relatives,
friends and neighbors to share in this evening of reaching out to
people we have never seen.
We are providing assistance to rebuild
the “Little Schools”
directed by Father Zucchi in Cite Soleil. We will install a new roof on
Reiser Heights Primary School in Lespinasse. Also, build a new Feeding
Center at Grace Village in Titanyen that will provide food to orphans,
street children and elderly.
I hope to see you on the 27th of April; If
you are
unable to attend the Haiti
fundraiser event, but would like
to donate, please see the Donation
Page for online donation options or Mail-In
donation form, so that you can share in this great
endeavor.
Your donations are 100% tax deductable
and a receipt is issued
for every contribution. All donations are carefully handled and
directed to our Haiti projects and each dollar is accounted for. Reiser
Relief, Incorporated is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit charitable organization.
There is no paid staff working for Reiser Relief, they are all
volunteers.
Thank you for joining us at Keep The
Wheel Turning event. It is
a marvelous opportunity to share in a spirit of thanksgiving to God for
all we have received. In gratitude, we can share our gifts with the
poor in Haiti and thus giving them renewed hope. Our gifts of water,
food, shelter and education provide them with the essential elements of
life. By helping them, we become more aware that many of God’s people
are far less fortunate than we are.
With Blessings, Prayers and Love,
Father Bernard Reiser
President, Reiser Relief Board

The purpose of the Haiti Relief Event is to bring greater awareness of
the relief efforts and to highlight the devastation and extreme needs
of the Haitian people since the earthquake. The event provides greater
opportunities to assist people in Haiti with our gifts of water, food
and education.
Both the primary schools that Reiser Relief supports in Haiti remain
standing after the earthquake, but one, named Terre Promise, in Cite
Soleil, a densely populated shanty town in Port-au-Prince with 425
students, needs extensive repairs. In March, Reiser Relief and three
other nonprofit organizations gave $10,000 each for this project.
With the reconstruction effort of Terre Promise, a second session is
being considered, which will allow more children to be educated and
receive a hot meal with donation dollars received from the gala event.
In addition, this year Reiser Relief plans to put a new roof on its
other school, Reiser Heights, which has 325 students and is located two
hours south of Port-au-Prince. The roof is the original construction
and needs to be replaced; the cost is $10,000.
The water trucks
used by Reiser Relief for its fresh water delivery program were not
damaged by the earthquake, but since the disaster, the trucks have been
delivering to tent cities, clinics and orphanages and the rough road
conditions mean that they need new tires, which will cost $8,000 for
two trucks at $400 a tire from donations. The demands on the
trucks have also increased maintenance and we are currently looking to
purchase a used truck to replace one of the older trucks currently in
service.
With all food supplies depleted following the earthquake, Reiser Relief
continues to provide food to its schools through the food packets from
Feed My Starving Children in Coon Rapids, which are shipped to Haiti.
Additionally, Reiser Relief right after the earthquake made a direct $10,000 donation to
Feed My Starving Children to allow immediate preparations of the MannaPack
Potato formula which specifically staves off diarrhea.
