Orphan Care
Of all the devastation and sadness there is to be seen in Haiti, the suffering of the children is possibly the worst. Left orphaned due to the earthquake in 2010, or because they were simply turned out into the streets to fend for themselves when a parent or parents could no longer afford to care for them, these children fall victim to extreme hunger and poverty, diseases, cholera, AIDS, and sometimes even child slavery.
By the grace of God, Reiser Relief, together with our sister organization Healing Haiti, contributed to the construction of dormitories and a feeding center to care for orphans in Grace Village. This lovely facility in Titanyen is now home to over 60 children. The children, most of whom had never had a shower or used a flush toilet in their life, now have the opportunity to grow and thrive in a faith based environment where they receive education, health care, food, water, and unconditional love.
